Bush Department was into many strange things in its waning days. The proposal of allowing guns into national parks is one of them.
Guns in national parks have many drawbacks. Poor and innocent animals in the parks are likely to be hunted down by some one who took a gun to the park. Sometimes, the target can be the human being itself. Apart from committing a crime, a person carrying a gun has a better chance of being hit by a lightning.
Why do we require carrying a gun to some recreation place? Many people have their own reasons. But when you look actually at those, many of them will be silly.
So, the court made a wise decision on ruling out the federal law that allows guns to U.S national parks.
If you are habituated to carry your guns to even parks, it is high time to change your habit.
