More Than Half SMB’s in UK Believe Software Security is not Important: Panda Security

The small and medium-sized businesses are the largest users of free security software in UK. According to the annual international barometer of security in SMBs Panda Security, about 57 percent of these firms perceive that the security software is not important. About 17 percent of the firms have no idea whether their security system is in place or not. Moreover, about 14 percent of UK companies have outdated security systems and about 13 percent of the companies in UK do not have security system. The training for the employees on security continues to be low. About 46 percent of the companies in UK are not receiving any basic IT security training on how to avoid security threat. Many of the companies claimed that they have maintained the same amount of investment in security as last year and moreover 15 percent of the respondents in UK claimed that their they have increased their investments significantly on security measures.
