India’s largest car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki, suffered again with their low sales in July 2011, compared to the sales of last year during same period. Maruti Suzuki managed to sell 75,330 vehicles for July month and has registered a decline in sales percentage of 25%.

The main reason behind this decline in sales is, Maruti is planning to launch a new model of Swift, which led to decrease in sales of old model Swift. They hardly sold only 348 Swift vehicles for July 2011. Dispatch of the old Swift was discontinued in July 2011, the new Swift which is being manufactured in the Manesar Plant, will be launched nationally in mid-August 2011.

Maruti Suzuki’s production of sedan Dzire model was lowered by 5,471 units during the month of July, the reason was they changed the manufacturing plant from Manesar to Gurgaon.
