Ford India increased its sales for the period of September, 2011, The company is faring well because of the good response from the competitive Indian auto market. Ford India sold out the vehicles for January to September with 90,612 units which was only 67,253 units in the last year for the same period. Therefore, it increased its sales growth by 35% from the last year. The company wholesales and exports for September, 2011 month were 10,270 vehicles.
The officials of the company are happy with this increase as they have fared well in spite of the so many challenges like more competition and increasing fuel prices faced by them in the Indian auto market. The fuel efficient and affordable feature filled cars of Ford were succesful in withstanding the competition and earning positive sales growth. The company is expecting to reach the 1,00,000 vehicle sales for this year.
Ford brands, Fiesta and Figo are getting good response from the market. Ford has overcome its bottlenecks with time supply. They are also increasing the diesel version cars into the Indian market. Ford India is focusing hard on the stability of their position in the Indian auto market.
